Princess Anne remembers the moment she survived a kidnapping attempt

Princess Anne’s husband confirmed that she had returned home after five days in hospital.

The Princess Royal, 73, was admitted to hospital on Sunday evening with concussion and minor injuries after being kicked by a horse.

Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence said: “I would like to express my sincere thanks to the entire team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay.”

It comes after Wimbledon officials said they are “hopeful” the Princess of Wales will present the trophies at the event next month.

Kate, 42, made a welcome return to public life at Trooping the Color earlier this month as she continues to battle cancer.

The Princess is patron of the All England Club and chairman Debbie Jevans said they are keen to provide “as much flexibility as possible” when it comes to the event.

Jevans said: “We are hopeful that the Princess of Wales can present the trophies as patron of the club, but her health and recovery are the priority.”

Harry and Meghan’s move to the US would ‘not work’

After stepping down as working royals in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to California to start a new life, but it reportedly “isn’t working out.”

The revelation comes after Prince William attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London last week with his two eldest children.

The trio later posed for a selfie with the American singer and her boyfriend, footballer Travis Kelce.

The Daily mailRichard Eden believes the friendly meeting proves the Sussexes’ move to America hasn’t worked after Swift refused to join their now-defunct Spotify podcast.

“It’s a very different relationship because Taylor Swift is here and she wants to show her respect for the royal family,” he said.

“In a sense you could say she is courting Prince William, while with Harry and Meghan it’s the other way around.

“They’re the ones who always seem to suck up to Hollywood royalty.

“They thought that if they moved to California, ‘we would become the center of this kind of royal court and everyone would come to see us.’

“But it never seems to go that way.”

Princess Anne disgusted by attention during hospital stay

The Princess Royal is reportedly unhappy with the attention she is receiving after being admitted to hospital on Sunday.

The Sunday times Royal Editor Roya Nikkhah said: “You can imagine that Anne absolutely hates being the centre of attention.

“She must have really hated that Anne, while her brother was on a state visit, a very high-profile state visit, was the most important news of the day, because she hates being the center of attention.

“And she had wanted to be there to represent the family.”

Meghan Markle encouraged to ‘get creative’ with new lifestyle brand

This comes as the Duchess of Sussex teases various products including raspberry and strawberry jam and dog biscuits.

The products were introduced to the general public via social media by Meghan’s famous friends and influencers. They were allowed to try out the products.

Publicist Sara Fruman said The Express: “There are plenty of strategies she can use to get publicity, and the most impactful would be to get creative and authentic – neither of which Meghan seems to be doing.

“It seems like Meghan is either getting bad advice or not listening to the advice she is getting, which is probably more likely.”

Prince Harry feared Queen Camilla would take King Charles away from him

A resurfaced passage from Prince Harry’s 2023 memoir Reserve has revealed he feared current Queen Camilla would take his father away from him.

The prince admitted he had “mixed feelings” about the couple’s wedding in 2005, but ultimately suppressed his views when he “saw Dad’s smile and it was hard to argue with that.”

“I knew without a doubt that this marriage would take Dad away from us,” he wrote.

“Not in the real sense of the word, not in a deliberate or malicious way, but still – gone. He entered a new space, a closed space, a tightly isolated space.”

Prince Harry ‘fears bringing Archie and Lilibet to the UK’

The Duke of Sussex fears he will not be able to bring his two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK due to his ongoing legal concerns.

Harry, 39, continues to fight for taxpayers’ financial security when he visits the UK, despite no longer being an active royal.

GB NewsRoyal correspondent Cameron Walker said: ‘Harry’s case is that he doesn’t feel safe.

“He feels his family is not safe when they are in the UK because they do not have Metropolitan Police officers with them.

“So perhaps that is the main reason why Prince Harry is not bringing Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to Britain, because he cannot guarantee their safety.”

Wimbledon officials ‘hopeful’ for Kate Middleton performance

Wimbledon officials have said they are “hopeful” of a possible appearance for the Princess of Wales at next month’s tournament.

Kate, 42, is chairman of the All England Club and usually hands out trophies at the prestigious tennis tournament.

When she returned to public life earlier this month, the princess, who is battling cancer, said she hoped to attend “a few public events over the summer”.

Club President Debbie Jevans said Telegraph Sports: “We hope that the Princess of Wales will be able to present the trophies as patron of the club, but her health and recovery are the priority. We don’t know what we don’t know. We have simply said that we will work with her and give her as much flexibility as possible.

“I don’t know who would present the trophies as an alternative – that’s something to consider if necessary. We remain flexible. ‘When we hear it, we will think about what is the right thing to do.’

Princess Diana’s belongings sell for over £4 million

This collection is considered to be the largest ever sold collection of the late princess’s belongings. It included evening dresses and letters that showed Diana was genuinely happy in the early days of her marriage to the then Prince Charles.

The most expensive item sold at auction was an off-the-shoulder evening gown belonging to Diana, which fetched a staggering $910,000 (£720,000).

The dress was worn by the Princess in both London and Germany in 1987 and was originally expected to sell for an estimated price of £315,000.

Part of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy UK charity.

The dress sold for more than twice the highest price the seller had expected.
