BTS’ V Announces New Project

On June 25, BIGHIT MUSIC dropped a mysterious poster to announce V’s new project TYPE 1. As buzz about the project grew on social media, BTS’ label announced that the Dance slowly singer would release his first self-composed photo book on July 9. The photo book, which captures V’s comfortable self as he enjoys a break from his busy schedule, was completely planned and prepared by the BTS star himself.

2NE1 in talks about reuniting for comeback

A 2NE1 comeback may be in the works! YG Entertainment recently announced that all four 2NE1 members had an “extremely meaningful” conversation with the label’s founder Yang Hyun-suk during a two-hour meeting. The label stated: “This was the first conversation between Yang Hyun-suk and the 2NE1 members in eight years. Although no concrete plans were made, Yang Hyun-suk listened to the members’ requests and sympathized with them, so We look forward to delivering good news to fans soon.”

SEVENTEEN create history

It’s been a big week for SEVENTEEN! On June 26, the K-pop group was named UNESCO’s first-ever Goodwill Ambassador for Youth. On the same day, SEVENTEEN’s sub-unit released BSS’ hit track To fight was chosen as the official cheer song for the South Korean team at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

Then, on June 28, SEVENTEEN made history as the first K-pop act to perform at Glastonbury Festival. The group performed a number of their hits at the music festival, including, HOT, ready to love, God of music and more.
