Taylor Swift welcomed by U2 with flowers for her Dublin Eras Tour shows

Swift will perform at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium from June 28 to 30, with Paramore opening each show.

Taylor Swift received a warm welcome in Ireland ahead of her Eras Tour performances this weekend.

Shortly before her first show on Friday, June 28, the 34-year-old “So Long, London” singer shared a photo to her Instagram Stories. The image featured a vibrant bouquet of flowers and a kind message from legendary rock band U2.

“Dear Taylor, welcome back to our hometown…will you leave any of it?!!!!” the legendary musicians wrote, signing it: “Your Irish fan club, Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry.”

Swift responded to the band’s letter, writing over her photo, “Feelin’ all that Irish hospitality!! @u2 thank you for always being the classiest and coolest.” She concluded her caption with the Irish flag emoji.

Previously, the pop star was pleasantly surprised by U2’s thoughtful gestures. In 2018, ahead of her Reputation concerts in Dublin’s Croke Park, the rock group sent her a bouquet of red roses, accompanied by a signed letter that read: “From your Irish fan club.”

Swift will perform at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin from June 28 to 30, with Paramore providing the support act each time.

These concerts come after her impressive three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium from June 21-23, which attracted a host of celebrities including members of the royal family and also featured her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce, who made a surprise appearance on stage with her.
