HoRs members from Anambra visit Soludo, praise governor, seek greater cooperation

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has received the Anambra Caucus of the House of Representatives.

The Governor received the delegation led by the members representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Mr. Victor Afam Ogene, at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

Hon. Afam Ogene appreciated the Governor for his developmental strides in Anambra in various sectors of the state economy including road infrastructure, health and education among others.

The delegation specifically commended the governor for his determination and attendant action to build a new government house and lodge in Anambra, which has been abandoned for thirty-three years.

They expressed their readiness to jointly pursue projects in the centre that will benefit ndi Anambra, and applauded the Governor on the massive regeneration underway at Anambra House in Abuja.

Honorable Chinwe Gwacham appreciated the governor for conducting an inclusive administration, specifically mentioning the appointment of women to his administration, while the member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Honorable Orogbu and the member representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency representative, Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, agreed the same and also informed the governor that out of the 14 female members of the House of Representatives, 3 are from Anambra, demonstrating the governor’s support for gender balance.

The delegation collectively agreed that Governor Soludo is performing wonderfully well and based on his work he will be returned by an overwhelming majority.

While reiterating this, the member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Dr. Paschal Agbodike, his colleagues to try to bring at least one capital project to the state.

They individually thanked the Governor for the projects and other infrastructural revolutions underway in their respective constituencies, including the completed Mmiata road project, and called for more.

Governor Soludo thanked them for initiating the meeting and reminded them that he had held a similar meeting to the previous meeting before he was sworn in.

The Governor extended the same hands of the community to join in the reconstruction of the homeland, assuring that the strategic relationship between all would be further deepened, especially in the areas of infrastructural partnership and development, because Anambra is “one people, one state, one agenda”.
