Catalan singer Silvia Perez Cruz on Monday became the latest star to perform live for NPR’s acclaimed Tiny Desk Concerts series.

The Palafrugell-born composer, one of the most prominent voices on the Catalan music scene, presented her latest album, All life, one day.

Pérez Cruz gave a twenty-minute performance in an intimate setting, with violinist Marta Romana and double bassist Agapit Llibori.

With this achievement, Pérez Cruz becomes the third catalan artist to perform at the Tiny Desk Concert.

In April, Catalan folk duo Tarta Relena brought their blend of ancient and modern sounds to NPR, following in the footsteps of multi-instrumentalist Lau Noah in 2019.

With more than 1,000 concerts Since 2008, NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts have become a fixture on the global music scene, featuring performances by Sting, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Adele, among others.
