MAFS star fights assault charges

A former Married At First Sight star is due to appear in court after pleading not guilty to a series of alleged assaults.

Divorce, bankruptcy, and citizenship issues—these are all matters that can land you in court. But not all courts are created equal.

Craig Michael Keller pleaded not guilty in Brisbane court on Tuesday.

He was charged with one count of unlawful assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of unlawful assault occasioning bodily harm while armed with an offensive instrument, and four counts of unlawful assault. He is also charged with one count of unlawful strangulation without consent in a domestic relationship, and one count of malicious damage to a cell phone.

The court was told the alleged offence took place in Caboolture South between April and May 2022.

Mr. Keller briefly became a household name after appearing on Season 3 of Married At First Sight in 2016.

The former reality TV personality was paired with his bride Nicole Heir.

The couple left the show together, but split again shortly after the show aired.

Ms. Heir is not involved in the allegations against Mr. Keller.

The former naval engineer is due to appear in court on August 30.

He remains free on bail.
