Cleveland Cavaliers agree to contract extension with All-Star Donovan Mitchell

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly agreed to a four-year contract extension with All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell.

According to the report, it is a three-year deal reportedly worth $150.3 million and includes a player option for 2027-28.

Mitchell, an All-Star for five straight seasons, averaged 26.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game for Cleveland last season.

The five-time All-Star was originally acquired by Cleveland in a blockbuster deal with the Utah Jazz in 2022.

He led Cleveland to the playoffs twice in a row.

Throughout his career, Mitchell has averaged 24.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game with the Cavs and Jazz. He was named All-NBA second team in 2023.
