The Seinfeld creator discovered the connection in an episode of PBS’ Finding your roots and said he was thrilled to hear about their shared DNA. “I was thrilled about that,” he said at the TV Critics’ Association press conference over the summer. “I thought there had to be a connection. I love Bernie.”
